How about a little civility on this site. Now that we got it, use it for a constructive purpose. These are real problems and real people. Getting on an elected person for not doing his job or arguing about his ideas is great. Attacking people in a mean way is unconstructive. Free speech is a right and a responsibility. This is a great place to argue ideas and tell the world what you think about politicians. We should hold them accountable. Being rude and telling the truth may come close to the same words, but we don't have to cross the line.

There is no way that Melody had the same amount of vote as Comenero did. When I cast my vote at the end of the day he was leading by over thirty votes.
So let me guess, She has been calling and complaining about all the wonderful and true thinks being said about her to your station. Probably even threatening to sue KEY'S radio and you Lago. Am I right? I think I am. Why else would you take her off the Island when she had another week of torment due her. If she doen't like what is being said about her maybe she should change she ways and lay off the bottle "this means her husband as well" start representing the city right. And by all means Quite using the Police Department are her own personal escort service. If she is going to be out drinking as she is so well known for. Take a cab home.

I do not feel any of our city fathers have done a particular decent job in representing any of our residents. I lived in a suburb of Houston for 5 years. My taxes were $2.89/hundred and we had our own MUD, concrete curbed and guttered streets, private police force, and street lights every 4th home. I know it sounds if I do not appreciate Corpus Christi but, I love the area, the people, and I want to continue to make living our community. We need to bring in more commerce and raise our quality of life. You will never get businesses in the area by taxing them to extinction before they make an initial investment in the community. Wake up city council...

Everyone knows the problems that we have in this city, but supporting your city council and offering fair, realistic solutions is the answer. Regardless of who you voted for last year, you should call your city council person and thank them for all their hard work.

As I said in week 1, she is a continuing example of the old "tax and spend" council that had no desire to be accountable for their actions. She failed to support her constituents in NW Corpus Christi, especially in regards to the expediting of the Leopard Street improvements. I noticed that I wrote the longest explanation for my vote in week 1. Too bad the council personell read the constructive criticisms with less than a grain of salt. It might help them to see why the citizens of this city don't trust them.

Don't see him do much at council meetings. As he lives on Parde Island I can understand why he believes Packery channel is such a great idea. When are henry and the rest of the council going to find high paying jobs for Corpus Christi. If all we get are boat passes,hotels,bars than only minimum pay will follow. We can not continue paying high city,ccicd and county TAXES on this pay scale. Austin and San Antonio have gone out and brought high skill workes to there cities thats where all of our young people are moving. Ever check out the empty office space here?

Seems that Mr Scott is trying to move into Ed Martins old place on the council. Just help the big money boys.As far Ms. Copper, all of the people talking about all the bars she goes to, how do you know all of this unless you are right there with her. What this town needs is jobs that pay a wage of around 11.00 to 12.00 dollars per hour. Bringing in more hotels, bars for the out of towners won't bring that type of pay for people. The only ones that will make money are the big boys.

After reading his ranting today, it is obvious that he is scared to death that the imploding of the city is happening on his watch. Speaking not as a member of his favorite heat sink (the Taxpayer's Association), it might be the case that if the council looks in the mirror they may not see the CCTPA but themselves. If Lord Neal and the Council had any good ideas that improved the city they would not have to blame the CCTPA. She was a major part of the tax and spend council and still has that mentality. She is all talk and no real action. She has failed to represent her constituents and has often sold the Northwest CC sside of town out in favor for more improvements to southside because Rhodes wanted her to. She also failed to keep tabs on what was happening to the Leopard St. improvements and lied to me and others in saying that the improvements were underway in 1997 and would be finished by 2000. Of corse we all saw that Oscar wanna-be performance in early 1999 when she found out there was no money left from the bond to do the improvements. I had asked her Sept. 1998 as to where were the improvements
